What we did / Design a multi-use complex building, which nestled within an area of natural countryside.

The remote position of this site had environmental issues relating to the discharge of water and sewerage. The land available contained mature trees which are natural species to the region. Limestone outcrops were littered on the site which the planners were unhappy to be affected by the new building. The building was therefore designed not to affect the natural landscape and the footprint was developed to have little or no effect on the natural features. It used materials to match the building pallet of the area but used a contemporary sweeping roof as a dramatic statement.

The building incorporates a swimming pool, gymnasium, shop and lounge bar. The result is a very attractive building which blends with its locality.
