GIA is a multi-disciplinary practice committed to the full integration of interior design, architecture and project management. Operating both nationally and internationally for major operators in the leisure, retail and hotel sectors.
We believe it is important to be different; to offer a fresh approach; to challenge perceived ideas and to add value.
We consistently offer a high quality of service together with excellence in design, technical and professional standards.
We are committed to architecture and design that is both innovative and inspirational.
For the past 37 years we have ensured that the environments we create are both appealing and workable and we make design produce results for the client.
We firmly believe that the full involvement of the client with the Strategic Design Team is critical to the success and our philosophy inclusive of design will ensure the client remains an integral part of the decision making process throughout. Having worked with a number of leisure sector clients, we are familiar in dealing with the consultation process and understand the importance placed on reporting and dialogue.
Excellent team working is also fundamental to the success of any project and will promote this through the development of mutual trust and respect across the disciplines and foster a working environment conducive to the development of a fully integrated, value added solution.
We are committed to setting high standards for all team contributions and will work hard to ensure our collective response exceeds the expectations of the client and their customers
Design development is an interactive process and requires the design team to provide a rapid turnaround of ideas and concepts for clients and users alike in order to generate feedback and so to further the design. GIA is experienced in this process and will bring to the table a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to assist the project in realising its needs and aspirations.
To manage this design process, it would be our preference to formulate a programme of design workshops throughout the period to allow research through liaison with all relevant parties in order to formulate a detailed brief.
At each stage we would seek to present our proposal option, risk and opportunities to the project and agree a series of staged “sign-offs” as the master plan develops.
We are a responsible and caring company, and sustainability is a key consideration in all our work. We recognise that our designs and specifications have an effect on the environment and we take every opportunity to minimise their impact.
We adopt responsible and ethical policies and we comply with environmental standards and legislation. We work closely with our suppliers and contractors to ensure that all materials and processes involved in the project have a minimum impact on the environment and are ethically sourced.
