The new Owners Club building at Haggerston Castle has been constructed to a sustainable design and incorporates many energy saving technologies to reduce energy consumption and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Our brief was to deliver an owner’s lounge suitable for families and adults with the emphasis being on quality.
The space offers a relaxing place with a bar and restaurant exclusively for the owners of holiday homes on the site. It is also used for Owner’s events with live music, activity sessions for both children and adults and for events for potential holiday home buyers.
The name, Badger Lodge and the theme of the decor came from the surrounding rural environment with its plants and wildlife.
The building structure itself has been constructed using a timber frame and local natural materials.
The high level of glazing to south and west elevations not only facilitates the heating of the building but also affords stunning views out across the lake. The inside / outside configuration means that the views can be enjoyed comfortably through all the seasons.
The Owner’s Lounge is proving a big success with user’s comments including:
