RESTORATION OF MILL

Restoration of mill into a heritage dining venue. A triumph for architectural conservation in bringing this Grade II listed building back to life. Built in 1813 to grind flour for Pembrokeshire, the Grade II listed building has undergone a meticulous restoration to transform it into a heritage dining venue.

We were responsible for producing a layout that maximized the existing mill equipment, provided means of escape and sympathetically added kitchens, toilets and dining. We worked with other specialists, not least Graham Frecknall Architecture & Design, on producing a venue which will extend the life of the building with a new purpose.

GIA played a key part by designing the interiors whilst preserving the mill’s original features.

The mill has been transformed into a spectacular heritage restaurant, with dining across the ground and first floors (also home to private dining rooms). The second floor is devoted to a state-of-the-art kitchen.
