SPA POOLE

GIA were required to collaborate with a client create a stunning 5 star day spa. This was to be on a rundown area next to a site of scientific interest and nature reserve.  GIA were asked to provide an economical building.  This was required to combine high quality services and interiors within beautifully landscaped surroundings.

Rockley Park spa was designed as a seductive but calming area.  This is in a private garden with views across the bay.

It brings together quality of design and experiences and nestles within an idyllic environment.

Be rejuvenated by the therapeutic effects of saunas and steam rooms. Meditate in the lounges or within the outdoor spa. Relax in the treatment rooms with the extensive selection of therapies.

We used inexpensive exterior finishes and allowed the planting to absorb the building in many areas. As well as creating a water garden and decking to give an immediate sense of quality on arrival.

The design combined contemporary and traditional materials.  Subtle natural slate and timber, sleek fireplaces and plasma screens along with under floor heating. Iconic seating was used in the spa garden, with an outdoor pool for relaxation and conversation.

The use of quality, natural materials with signature pieces of furniture and specialist lighting make for a truly quality project.

Whilst GIA’s original involvement with this Company was in design of building interiors for leisure and entertainment purposes, over the past ten years they have become the lead architect managing all aspects of the design and construction of our leisure resorts involving town planning, landscaping, construction as well as interiors through their own practice with the assistance of specialist advisors where necessary.
