Back in 2018, we were asked to design a restaurant at a holiday park on the south coast.
At the time, we had no idea that one project would grow into a long-term working relationship that continues today.
One project soon became a conversation about what came next.
Working alongside the client, we developed a five-year masterplan, setting out a broad vision for how the park could evolve over time. It gave us a clear direction for future development, while allowing enough flexibility to adapt our proposals as the client’s priorities and the world around us changed.
As the plans evolved, we secured planning permission for future phases and have since worked on a wide range of projects, including the park’s rebranding and signage, retail & catering and office & admin. Most recently, we completed the latest phase, delivering a new Sports Bar and surrounding areas.
Each project has been part of the bigger picture, carefully planned around the needs of the business and the experience the client wants to create for their guests.
It’s also worth saying that when we first became involved, there was already a strong foundation to build on. The park was well laid out, the buildings had been thoughtfully designed and there was clear potential for future development. Our role has been to work alongside the client, using our experience and expertise to help unlock that potential, solve challenges and refine ideas as the business has continued to grow.
That’s one of the things we enjoy most about what we do. We don’t just design a project, hand over the drawings and move on. We like building lasting relationships, understanding how a business evolves and being there to help solve the next challenge when it comes along. That’s when we do our best work. Not every project needs to happen all at once. Sometimes the best results come from taking the time to understand a business, seeing how it grows and helping to deliver the right improvements at the right time.
The setting certainly helps. With an incredible coastal location and breathtaking sea views, it has been a fantastic place to work over the years. But the real driving force behind the park’s development has been the client’s vision, ambition and continued investment.
It’s been great to be part of that journey, with each phase building on the last and the plans evolving as new ideas and opportunities emerged.
We’re now working with the client on the next cycle of development, exploring new ideas for the years ahead. Relationships like this are why we love what we do. Seeing a business grow, sharing ideas along the way and helping shape what’s next is far more rewarding than simply completing a project and moving on.
